Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling to clients using evidenced based
treatment approaches
• Conduct initial individual/couple/family nutrition sessions and provide follow up nutrition
sessions for clients. Sessions would be held in office or via Telehealth (especially during
Covid-19). We also offer meal support, grocery tours, and restaurant outings as needed.
• Manage schedule and caseload of clients with the support of our practice assistant
• Document thoroughly in electronic medical records system
• Collaborate with treatment teams, clients, and staff in a timely manner
• Attend regular supervision
• Attend regular CEU trainings and invest in continued growth in field
• Aid in marketing, promotion, and networking to build relationships
• Special projects and speaking engagements
Minimum Qualifications:
• Relevant RD and eating disorder experience preferred, but all welcome to apply
• Passionate about working with clients in an individual counseling environment
• Interest in working with eating disorders and mental health
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients and other providers from a
diverse cultural, educational, and ethnic backgrounds
• Energetic, motivated, compassionate, personable, patient and reliable
• Excellent counseling and motivational interviewing skills
• Knowledge of Health at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating principles and philosophies
• Knowledge of ethics in dietetics
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize
Licensures/Certifications:
• Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Licensed RDN in the state of Tennessee (or willingness to obtain TN licensure)
