Eating Disorder Dietitian – Full-time

-Be a part of five person nutrition staff team.

-Provide 1:1 nutrition counseling for patients at all levels of outpatient eating disorder treatment care--- which includes on-going assessment, treatment planning, meal/menu planning, nutrition education, counseling, food experientials (ie grocery shopping, meal outings), etc.  Virtual and in-person work presently part of the job.

-Co-lead several meals weekly with mental health co-workers, as a part of PHP/IOP meals.  Eat at meals.

-Assist, as needed, in coordination of catering and kitchen management/organization

-Document all clinically relevant interactions with clients using electronic health record system

-May include: co-leading culinary group, facilitating weekly nutrition education group, and leading meal outings.

-May include: work with multi-disciplinary Exercise+Sport team,  This would mainly include individual nutrition counseling for athletes and possible speaking engagements.


Education/Credential Requirements:

-Graduate of an accredited Dietetics program with completion of internship/practice experience.

-Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN); Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
-Certified Dietitian (CD) with the Washington State Department of Health.


Skill Requirements:

-Approachable and compassionate, with an emotional awareness of client’s needs and one’s relationship with the client.

-A high degree of confidentiality and personal boundary setting; coupled well with value of modeling for clients.
-Adaptable, organized personality and skill set.

-High value of collaboration with multi-disciplinary treatment team.
-Experience working with eating disorders.

-Live, behave and talk in a way that reflects a non-diet, anti-oppression, weight-neutral relationship with food and body.


Hours: 40 hours.  Monday – Friday.  Hours vary but occur between 7:30am and 6:30pm.  In the office primarily.  Some work from home options available.


Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with experience.  Food will be provided for meals eaten with PHP/IOP clients.   1:1 nutrition supervision by a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian.  Staff trainings weekly on variety of topics.  Group staff consultation and supervision weekly.  Health insurance provided with premium health insurance company. Simple IRA.
