Join Dr. Nicole Siegfried, PhD, CEDS, Amber Parris, LICSW, CEDS and Amy-Claire McMurtrie, MS, RDN, LDN for a webinar on Body Embrace: Treating Negative Body Image in Clients in Larger Bodies Tuesday, April 21st starting at 9:00 AM PT / 11:00 AM CT / 12:00 PM ET. We are offering 2 CE hours through APA, CDR, NASW, and NBCC for all who attend the live webinar. Abstract: Body Image (BI) issues are often overlooked and underestimated in clients in larger bodies. Body Embrace is a comprehensive, phase-based approach to treating negative BI moving from Body Tolerance through Body Acceptance into Body Compassion. In this workshop therapists and dietitians will be presented with interventions from Body Embrace specific to clients in larger bodies. Attendees will explore their own biases related to size and shape, develop a better understanding of their bodies in the room in working with clients with eating disorders, and leave with practical tools and creative interventions to address BI issues in clients in larger bodies. Learning Objectives: *Define the role of body image in the treatment of eating disorders in clients in larger bodies. *Describe limitations of previous body image interventions and considerations for body image work in clients in larger bodies *Apply Body Embrace interventions for treating body image in eating disorders for clients in larger bodies.
